Twas' the Day Before christmas

Twas' the day the before Christmas.
When all through the house there were creatures stirring even a mouse.
I'll tell you why because children were wondering if they would get coal or presents. *scary music*
And they still do NOT know because man who called himself St. Nick never came. *louder scarier music*
He was an imposter holding St. Nick as a prisonor of the Mountian of Presents. \
They came to save him with pitch forks, fire torches, and guns.
They were mad and sad that they still didn't get their presents at there elderly age of 90.
That is the end because they couldn't even climb the mountain with there wheel chairs.

Do My Feelings Show

Do My Feelings Show
A Poem I wrote

Do my feelings show?
For this I wish I could know.
When I'm down,
or have a frown
Does any body notice?
When I'm excited
and can't stop my laughter,
Do people wonder?
When I'm shy
and don't feel sly
Will anybody be there?

These are the things I wish to know.

A Poem I Wrote: Tug of War

Do you ever feel like your the rope in a tug of war game??
I do at the moment.
I want to be part of two groups without losing the other.
Sometimes when I was with the other group for a long time and I go back to the other group I feel like an outsider.
They have inside jokes and other things.
I feel like a toy that hasn't been played with in a long time.
I miss the old days when we were all together.
When there were no groups.
How I can be part of both groups??

AN off day

The Real Thing

The Real Thing
A poem I wrote

The runner who can run a marathon without the 500 dollar shoes,
is the real proffesional.
The singer who can sing without having her voice changed by technology,
is the real singer.
The dancer who can dance without her "lucky shirt"
is the real dancer.

Let it come from the heart.

Run your race,
Sing your song,
and Dance your dance,
From the heart

She finds a boy and they fall in love.....Watch the Trailer for more detail.

Alvin and the Chipmunks......

Do I really want to see it? No

Do I want to see it to rate it? YES

I know (from watching trailers) That the boys find girl friends and that their owner breaks his neck and leg.

Alice in the Wonderland

STARRING JOHNNY DEPP

and

ANNE HATHAWAY

Thats it.....(akward)

A poem I wrote: The Meaning of Friendship

What is the meaning of friendship?
Some people say its a helpful push when you're down.
Others say its something that will stay with you till you die.
I remember people also saying that they sometimes have problems with friendship.
I would ask, "Why?" Why would anyone have problems with friendship?
But now I know why.
People meet new people,
Friends get in fights,
They steal your boyfriends,
And friends move someplace and don't keep in touch.
But there are ways to keep your friendship alive.
Always talk things out,
Be there for friends when there down,
Keep in touch,
Don't take them for granted,
And ALWAYS, ALWAYS...
Be the best friend you can be!

Thanks Liz for being there just to listen, Thanks Heather for making me laugh, and Hannah for keeping my secrets!! I love you all so much as friends!!!

Crispin by Avi

This is a really suspenseful story filled with adventure!!
Here's the blurb:

I kept asking myself if I felt different, if I was different. The answer was always yes. I was no longer nothing."

What's so important about a name? Does it give you something? Does it lay out a path for you to follow? Does it tell you who you are?

Crispin doesn't know his name because his father died years ago in the plague. "Asta's Son" is all anyone has ever called him. Doing their best to survive in meager conditions, he and his mother live among the poorest of the poor in fourteenth-century medieval England. Until his mother dies. Then, on a midnight trip to Father Quinel's quarters to learn the truth about his father, Crispin interrupts John Aycliffe, the steward in those parts, meeting secretly with a strange man in the forest.

Next thing Crispin knows, Father Quinel has been murdered and people are trying to kill him. He is labeled a Wolf's Head, which means anyone who finds him can kill him without impunity. On the run from everything relating to his prior life, without a name or a plan, he is stopped by an enormous man who calls himself Bear. In exchange for letting him live, Crispin if forced to vow service to Bear as his Master now. Where this will take Crispin, he doesn't know, but he isn't sure he wants to find out. People are still hunting for him, but why? And how will he ever find a new life under these conditions?

Rating: 8.5 because it was suspenseful and there were a lot of cliffhangers.

I couldn't help myself, but write another entry today.

I am currently reading the two novels, Sealed With a Diss and Chasing Vermeer. Both very descriptive and in a series.

Book Reviews

Hey guys I have a little bit of free time so I decided to review a few books.

Starting off today we have Dial L For Loser # 6 in the Clique series. I give it a 9.6. It starts off with Massie and her girls meeting Hadley Durk and Abby Boyd (who are famous celebs in the book who are staring in the new movie, Dial L for Loser). When Hadley gets kicked out off the Movie, Dial L For Loser, one of the Pretty Comittee girls gets to take her place. Dylan is not allowed to audition because the director says she is too bossy and Kristen's mother does not allow her to go. The day of auditions Massie was sure she was the chosen one until he told her shes too confident, Alicia was too pretty, but Claire was the Loser they were looking for. So for the next 3 weeks Claire was in paradise. Dressed in head to toe Designer and being pampered by paparrazzi and gets to hang with not just Abby Boyd, but the hottest guy celebrity, Conner Foley. But when Massie's jealousy takes over, things get a little catty.

Next is The Mystery of the Third Lucretia by Susan runholt.
3 Reasons to read it:

1. It's a mystery book that leaves you hanging on every chapter
2. It takes place in different countries like France and Italy
3. The author describes every thing so well, it's like a movie in your head.

Finally, there is, The Mixed of Files of Mrs. EB Frankweiler. Takes place in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, when two kids run away to live there. As they're living there, there is a mystery to figure out who made the most wanderful Angel statue. The kids believe it is Micheal Angelo, they head out to Mrs. EB Frankweiler's house to figure it out. Could this staue really be crafted by the one and only Mcheal Angelo?

Still Reading,

Liz
I am sorry I have not posteed anything in a while, but thanks to my dear friend Alex, she has been keeping you updated.

I am writing a new story (it will be my sixth) called A life based on fashion, this is not a permanent name, I'm just using it until I finish writing writing the book. So far, I have 4 characters, Alexandra Wright, Amanda Smith, Rachel Conrad, and Christina Bell. They each are different in the there own ways but all act the same. Rachel, is very popular and rich, Amanda is Rich and has a few friends that are differnt from the others, Alex (a nickname for Alexandra) is shy, but is popular like the others. Then there is Christina who doesn't really know if she belongs with the "populars" she wants to hang out with people who like things other than shopping and money.

Other wise, my life has been boring as usual. I'll try to blog more with book suggestions and reviews.

Thanks,

Liz

The Portal to The North Pole

I had this weird dream last night and I decided to turn it into a short story:
Every 10 years at the Vigilante house, the portal to the North Pole opens and Santa picks 2 of the children staying there to come see it. In the year of 2010 I was staying there with my sister, LuLu. We were sitting on the front porch with our Aunt and Uncle when suddenly we heard a loud noise like glass breaking. My Aunt ran inside to see if it was my cousin, Dominic, broke anything for he was only rambunctious 7 year old. My uncle came over to our rocking chairs and looked down beneath the porch. Being curious LuLu and I also looked down too. There was a hole in the ground just big enough for my skinny little Aunt to climb down. Suddenly we heard a booming voice come out of the hole in the ground. It said, "Kelly and LuLu Blewitt I invite you to come to the North Pole! Your Aunt like always will  accompany you to the place where she knows where to stop and she can't help you at all." My Uncle called my Aunt over saying, "Ellen, it happened again!" My Aunt raced over and sat next to my Uncle. The booming voice spoke again," Sincerely Santa." My Aunt started to yell things like,"Get your coats on it's going to be chilly down there!" and "Get some flashlights your going to need in the shaft." LuLu was helping Aunt get the flashlights and the coats. Uncle was explaining to me what was happening and about the past children to go and see Santa. When we heard a small, but clear voice say, "I wanna go to the North Pole too!" We all turned to see Dominic standing there. My Aunt walked over to my cousin and said, "Darling, I love you, but can't because Santa only invited LuLu and Kelly, but you can play Go Fish with Uncle." He burst in to tears! The booming voice came out and said,"He may accompany you, but he must go back to the home when you reach the place." When my cousin heard this he started dancing and singing,"I'm going to the North Pole!!" My Aunt took my hand and LuLu's. She walked us over to hole and told us to put our coats on and gave us each a flashlight. I started climbing down into the hole first and then LuLu. When I reached the bottom I noticed that we were in the basement. We all looked around except for Dominic who was still dancing and singing. I saw a bag that said: For LuLu and Kelly! Please put on!!Inside there were even warmer clothes then we had on. We did as the bag said and my Aunt told us that she had to go now. She started back up the ladder when these very small people came through the wall and introduced themselves as elves. They told us to come with them in there procession back to the North Pole. That's when Dominic bursted into the procession. My Aunt tried to stop him, but he was already through the corridor, a place where she can't go into. LuLu and I successfully went through the corridor and had a wonderful time at the North Pole, but Dominic for being naughty ended up not at the North Pole, but in the kitchen cleaning up the broken glass he had broke.

Eggs by Jerry Spinelli

This book is horrible! i just wanted to review it so you can see what a bad job he did.
The blurb:
Ten-year-old David recently moved to a new and unfamiliar town to live with his grandmother. His dad also moved to the same house but is hardly ever around; he works two hours away in the big city, coming home only on weekends.

Thirteen-year-old Primrose lives in a tiny house with her fortune-telling mother. She doesn’t know much at all about her absent father. She detests her mom’s unusual personality and puts as much distance as possible between them.

David’s world shattered when a custodian neglected to mark the recently mopped floor as wet. His mother slipped, hit her head and died because someone failed to follow the rules.

Primrose refuses to share the one bedroom and one available bed in their house with her snoring mom. She moves into the junk van left in the yard and works hard to make it her own space, including a paint job and a beanbag chair.

David feels that if he follows enough rules himself, never breaking a single one (except those offered by his grandmother), that somehow his mom will come back to him.

Primrose never had the chance to cuddle up with her mother to listen to bedtime stories or any other normal parent/child bonding custom. She breaks any and every rule she can think of, including slipping out into the night hours to prowl the neighborhood.

These two broken hearts are drawn to each other, and together they form an unusual and unlikely pair. David joins Primrose on her midnight jaunts, sneaking out of his window so as to not wake up his grandmother. Sometimes they visit the 24-hour convenience store or the all-night donut shop. On trash night, they dig through the roadside cans looking for tossed treasures to sell at the local flea market; Primrose needs funds to fix up her van/bedroom. Most of the time they argue and sometimes they share secrets; they even learn how to laugh again. Neither quite understands this relationship, but they do know that they need each other, and they believe that they are all they have to hang on to in this scary world

Rating: 1 because it had no plot what so ever! It was so dumb! But, he did write a book i kind of like it's called Star Girl if you want to check it out.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

This book is great book!!
It's fiction and sci-fi.
The blurb:
When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.

Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.

Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.

Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

Rating:9 because the ending was confusing.

A Poem I Wrote: Happiness

Smiles,
Laughter and fun;
A hope from sadness
Floating there;
A shield from anger
Sometimes too much;
A tear drops from my eye
Trying to wipe it off my cheek:
A on and off feeling
Skipping through medows;
Stumbling through sticks;
Scratching and poking
A warm fealing, welling up inside;
Singing,
Music,
Memories bubbling up,
Wanting to pause the moment;
Happiness
Inside my heart,
Free.

Wings by Aprilynne Pike

This book is a great fantasy for young adults!!
Here's the blurb:

Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things with wide eyes. They were terrifyingly beautiful--too beautiful for words.
Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings.
Laurel discovers she is a faerie, sent among humans to protect the gateway to Avalon. Thrust into the midst of a centuries-old battle between faeries and trolls, she's torn between a human and a faerie love, as well as her loyalties to each world. In this extraordinary tale of magic and intrigue, romance and danger, everything you thought you knew about faeries will be changed forever.

http://apparentlyaprilynne.blogspot.com/ is her blog
Rating:10 because the characters were very well described in this book and it wasn't at all confusing!
I highly recommend this book!!
